MEETING INFORMATION
General meetings are held four (4) times a year, in March, June, September and December, usually on the second Wednesday of the month, at the Best Western Hotel, 1590 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, BC. The meeting commences between 1:00 to 1:15 PM (1300-1315). The meeting is proceded by an optional luncheon for which you must have signed up ahead of time when contacted by a phone committee member who will ask if you plan to attend. If you have agreed to attend you will be charged for the meal if you attend or not. This is occasioned by the fact that we advise the Westerly of the number attending and we are charged for that number even if that number do not attend. Please arrive between 11:15 - 11:45 AM (1115-1145) to allow for the orderly collection of the small cost charged for the meal. The meal commences at 12:00 PM (1200). Once the meal is completed the meeting is held. The meeting generally consists of Executive Committee member reports, any business requiring the General Membership's approval and a guest speaker, except the December meeting where the quest speaker is replaced by Executive Committee elections and swearing-in and gift presentations.
